HHU is participating in the newly founded Ghana-NRW University Alliance and as part of this alliance, the six partners are organising a Winter School on "Diversity through Inclusion" from 4 to 8 December.

The lack of diversity, inclusion and equality is just as tangible at universities in Germany as it is in Ghana. For this reason, a group of 14 students and academics from Ghanaian universities are coming to Germany for around 10 days. Workshops will be held at all Alliance locations, in which interested HHU employees and HHU students can also participate. HHU will be the host on Wednesday, 6 December 2023. From 10 am, Dr Hollensteiner, Head of our International Office, will welcome the guests from Ghana in the barrier-free multifunctional area in the SSC. The workshop will focus on sharing and reflecting on experiences at eye level with local experts and those affected. A joint workshop at a partner university in Ghana is planned for summer 2024.
