Why work voluntarily?

Why do voluntary work?

Voluntary commitment offers the opportunity to get actively involved beyond job descriptions. The transmission of theoretical knowledge into practical application is often fluent, and the learning of these skills is self-evident. As "side effects", students also establish social contacts with other students - both within and across faculties. This is a good basis for a successful career entry and a key factor for successful, long-term careers. In addition, the HHU can issue a certificate to students and staff members who work voluntarily on behalf of the HHU, which can be used for applications or simply as personal recognition. You can see whether this is possible with your volunteer employers on their page here under "Where to work voluntarily?" If your institution is not yet registered with us, simply ask the head or the board of the institution about it.
