The Diversity Networking Event

Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf invites you to this year's Diversity Networking Event, an open discussion format for students, faculty, and staff. During the shared breakfast, a space is created to engage in conversation in a relaxed atmosphere, establish personal connections, share and discuss ideas, and plan new projects together. In addition to sharing individual experiences from study, teaching, research, and administration, the question of how different perspectives can enrich everyday life at the university is also addressed.

The central idea is that diversity is a resource. Different social, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds not only shape identities and life stories, but also open up new opportunities for teaching, research, and collaboration. Dr. Inge Krümpelbeck, head of the Diversity Section at HCSD, puts it in a nutshell:
"Diversity is demonstrated for us in the togetherness: Through such a network meeting, communication channels can be facilitated and solutions can be developed in an uncomplicated manner through various experiences. It is precisely this blend that makes our university vibrant and innovative."

The meeting sends a deliberate signal at a time when universities are increasingly understood as transcultural spaces: places where the exchange of perspectives is not only a method, but also a driving force for further development. Different life paths and experiences resonate here and shape the campus culture in the long term.

The Diversity Section invites you to understand diversity not just as an abstract concept, but as a lived practice. She shows herself in personal exchange and makes the university a place where inclusion and innovation go hand in hand.
