The resources on hate speech presented here offer a well-founded introduction to a key social and media-related topic. They provide basic knowledge about discriminatory forms of communication, mechanisms of power and exclusion, and manifestations of group-focused enmity.
The digital formats encourage critical reflection on one's own patterns of speech and behaviour and provide theoretical and practical ideas for discrimination-sensitive and respectful interaction in digital and analogue contexts.

Online learning platforms:
In 20 short videos, you will learn how to deal with hate on the internet, protect yourself and others from it, and actively contribute to a more harmonious online environment. Each video is accompanied by further information and tasks that you can complete on your own, in pairs or in small groups.
This e-learning module shows you how you can protect yourself and others against hate speech online. Because only together can we counteract the rise of hatred and support and help each other.
The course identifies mechanisms used by right-wing extremists that contribute to the spread of fake news and conspiracy theories in the digital space. It also teaches strategies for promoting resilience for your own protection and for the protection of others.

Hostility, digital violence and targeted hate campaigns on the Internet against researchers, science communicators and scientific institutions have increased significantly in recent years. This website brings together information, offers of support and central HHU contacts. The external organisation Scicomm-Support provides resources and advice on how to deal with attacks. In addition, the various contacts at HHU can provide support within the framework of their principal responsibilities.

The Amadeu Antonio Foundation's dehate podcast provides answers. In addition to providing essential background information and analysis, it also focuses on how to use this knowledge to counter extreme right-wing ideologies in everyday life, both online and offline. To this end, we talk to experts, activists and those affected in order to gain an overview of the situation and possible courses of action.
