The courses on queerness presented here offer a well-founded introduction to a central social and university-related topic. They impart basic knowledge about gender and sexual diversity, normative orders, and mechanisms of power, discrimination, and exclusion against queer people. Both structural and social conditions of visibility, recognition, and marginalization are examined.
The digital formats encourage critical reflection on one's own attitudes, privileges, and behavior patterns and provide both theoretical and practical impetus for discrimination-sensitive, appreciative, and queer-sensitive interaction in digital and analog contexts.

With #BIT* | Basics Inter* and Trans*, we have designed digital self-study modules in collaboration with representatives of interest and reference groups as well as educational professionals. In these modules, you will learn interesting facts about gender diversity, inter* and trans* and become sensitised and qualified for these topics in your educational work.
This broad-based digital qualification enables you to learn anytime, anywhere. It is accompanied by explanatory and interview videos and other interactive features.
The topics covered range from equality and gender justice to sexual orientation and gender education. The course uses short introductory texts with facts, videos and cartoons to stimulate discussion. Open-ended reflection questions give you the opportunity to think about and reflect on your experiences to date.
People's gender identities and sexual orientations are diverse. This is expressed by the acronym LGBTIQ+, which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, inter* and queer. The plus sign (+) indicates that other sexual orientations and gender identities are also included. A comprehensive e-learning tool supports healthcare professionals in dealing sensitively with LGBTIQ+ people: it enables them to see things from the perspective of LGBTIQ+ people, highlights aspects of good healthcare and helps to avoid discrimination.
This free LGBTQ+ Inclusion online course is designed to help you deepen your knowledge and understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities, experiences and allyship.
